Positive Behavior Support
Students must follow the districtwide Code of Conduct before, during and after school. The Code is in effect in school buildings, on school grounds, at school-related activities, and on the way to or from school. Students also must follow these rules on the yellow bus that brings them to school or takes them home.
Students are taught positive behavior supports and expectations throughout the building during the first two weeks of school. Each quarter the expectations are re-taught to the students.
Sayler Park School has a number of positive behavior supports in place for students. These supports help students strive to be the very best. Incentives are given on a regular basis to all students demonstrating positive behavior throughout the building.
Jaguar Bucks Store
Students have an opportunity to exchange Jaguar Bucks that they earn with good behavior. These can be earned in class, in the hallways, on the playground, and in the lunchroom.
Homerooms are permitted to go to the Jaguar Bucks Store twice a month. Incentives are displayed so students may purchase them with their accumulated bucks.
